Here again, not sure why.
Seems like it's been a long time, and it has been a while, so not really sure if I will continue using LJ or not.

Almost Done!
It is my last semester of School! I should have a Degree by May. I'm excited, even though this will be a long semester. It's made a mess of my normal work schedule. Oh well. Time to get done, only 15 years later.

Miscellanious Junk
So I got a email from my mother, and it seems like it might be a good idea if you get lots of calls and junk mail. Here is what it said:

Tips for Handling Telemarketers

Three Little Words That Work !!

(1)The three little words are: 'Hold On, Please...'

Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt.

Then when you eventually hear the phone company's 'beep-beep-beep' tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task.

These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting.

(2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end?

This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone.

This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a 'real' sales person to call back and get someone at home.

What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible This confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer !!!

(3) Junk Mail Help:
When you get 'ads' enclosed with your phone or utility bill, return these 'ads' with your payment.. Let the sending companies throw their own junk mail away.

When you get those 'pre-approved' letters in the mail for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope.

Most of these come with postage-paid return envelopes, right? It costs them more than the regular 44 cents postage 'IF' and when they receive them back..

It costs them nothing if you throw them away! The postage was around 50 cents before the last increase and it is according to the weight. In that case, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail and put it in these cool little, postage-paid return envelopes.

One of Andy Rooney's (60 minutes) ideas.
Send an ad for your local chimney cleaner to American Express. Send a pizza coupon to Citibank. If you didn't get anything else that day, then just send them their blank application back!
If you want to remain anonymous, just make sure your name isn't on anything you send them.

You can even send the envelope back empty if you want to just to keep them guessing! It still costs them 41 cents.

The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lot of their own junk back in the mail, but folks, we need to OVERWHELM them. Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it...Twice!

Let's help keep our postal service busy since they are saying that e-mail is cutting into their business profits, and that's why they need to increase postage costs again You get the idea !

Are trying to figure out what to do now...

I'm here.
Where ever here is. (currently at work)

I need a new job (or a second one)

Anyone know of places Hiring in the area?

I'm pretty sure the State won't be giving raises (of worthwhile amounts) any time soon. (we can't even Hire new people yet)

I have a very Busy fall coming up. Will be going back to school again, will be going on Vacation 2wice, and then have to start worrying about Paying for a wedding ontop of all the regular stuff...

Fun fun.

Hello Again
So it's been a very long time since I have written here. And there hasn't been a whole lot to talk about. I've been working Part time at one place and going to school part time at Kish, and then working full time at the Bowling alley. It's been keeping me very busy, so not a whole lot of time for much fun. I have a weekend off later this month and will be out with a bunch of friends checking out cars. Otherwise there isn't much planned. Hope all is well with everyone else and your all looking forward to spring eventually getting here.

Feb. 14th 2009, one year later.
First I wish everyone a happy Valentines Day, I hope you all get to celebrate it for what it's supposed to be.

I'm not really sure how I feel about it this year. I was doing just fine, then I started reading the School paper and there were a lot memorial columns and very touching stories from family and friends of the victims. It's kindof made me sad. We have special things going on at the building all day tomorrow. So it should be interesting to see how the day goes.

We have a Puppy. She is 3.5 months old and her name is Ginger. She is a Pomerianian and Alaskan Eskimo Mix. Should only get to about 10-15 lbs.

She's doing a good job of waking me up at between 7 and 9 am in the morning. That may not sound bad, but I don't go to bed untill 3-4am...She's cute, and her training is going along though.

Presidential Debates
Not much for Polotics, but Clearly there is some underlying problem with McCain.

The first Debate, he wouldn't even look at Obama, now this one, he calls Obama, "that one", and refuses to shake his hand at the end.

I also have not been "won over" by the stories of Mccains past, and what hes's done before and who he knows, or is friends with. He seems Old and out of touch to me. (and I can't imagine how out of touch he is to those 18-25.)

So as some know, we have a New house. but most don't know that we are finally moved in and set up. Had a House warming party (and graduation and B-day party) on Saturday. I think it went well. I said I would put up pictures, I will attempt to upload them today. Maybe they will be up tonight.

Summer has started here...things are going well.
